On September 2, 2018, our community as well as our family lost a hero. Sgt. Matthew Mainieri was tragically killed attempting to break up an altercation while off duty and on vacation in South Carolina. The sudden loss of Matt rocked not only our town but our family as well. We want to be sure that Matt is honored, remembered, and never forgotten. With the support of The Hartford Evergreen Masonic Lodge we have created the Sgt. Matt Mainieri Memorial Scholarship. The Hartford Evergreen Masonic Lodge has a long successful history with its own scholarship program and are pleased to announce their agreement to partner with us to create Sgt.
